Hello!
Hello!
My name is Markus Min and I am a current Smith Fellow at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in Dr. Brice Semmens' Lab. I received my Ph.D. in 2026 from the University of Washington School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences, where I was advised by Dr. Mark Scheuerell in the Applied Ecology Lab.
As an applied quantitative ecologist, my primary interests are the development and application of statistical models to inform the conservation and management of aquatic species. In particular, I am driven to generate management-relevant ecological insights by finding creative ways to leverage existing data using advances in computation and statistical modeling.
